This picture I took in Busan is the first one I post after crossing the 1000 followers mark. If this was Wallmart or something of the like, Rafael Heredia would get a prize for being customer number 1000.

Found this little guy hidden within the foliage at the Haedong Yonggungsa Temple in Busan. This is apparently a well rooted custom in Korea called Dongja-seung (Little monk statues). In Zen Buddhism, a child-monk represents the "Original Mind"—a state of being that is pure, simple, and free from the complex attachments or "pollutions" of adult life. Their smiling or sleeping expressions symbolize the peace that comes from reaching enlightenment through a childlike, uncomplicated heart.

Bodhi leaf prayer (often called so-won-ji in Korean), hanging from a branch against the rugged coastal rocks of Haedong Yonggungsa Temple. Can't help but wonder what was that "everything" that was so critical and most importantly what actually came to pass.
